Struggle can change your life— but it can also reveal strength you never knew you had.
I’m Bob Millsap. Through loss, illness, and some of life’s hardest seasons, I’ve learned to keep moving forward with resilience, perspective, and faith. My Books and writing share what I’ve learned along the way.

About Bob Millsap
Bob’s adult life has been marked by deep adversity. For years he met it with anger, rage, and a victim mentality—until he chose a different path.
His first book, Shake Yourself Free, tells the story of that hard-won shift toward grit, gratitude, and perspective. The mindset he developed was later tested in the most brutal way possible: a near-death battle with COVID-19 that nearly claimed his life.
A second-generation grocer, Bob spent more than thirty years in the retail food industry before becoming a high-volume mortgage loan originator. Illness brought that chapter to an abrupt end.
Today he lives in Arizona with his wife, Shelly, and their dogs, Dino and Molly. Their sons, Taylor and Dylan, live nearby. A lifelong Los Angeles Dodgers fan and live-music enthusiast, Bob now draws on everything he has endured to speak and write about resilience, perspective, and finding strength during life’s hardest moments.
